About Us

We are the Kansas Eta Chapter of the National Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity. Our ultimate goal is to promote "Building Balanced Leaders for the World's Communities" and we accomplish this through an emphasis on "Sound Mind and Sound Body". We seek to excel in academics, campus and community involvement, brotherhood, leadership development, and intramurals.

Our Balanced Man Program (BMP) replaces the pledging model still used by other fraternities. This program stresses involvement in the fraternity for the entire undergraduate career instead of one small involvement period or semester. The BMP offers basic individual, social, and educational skills development that help our members grow continuously. The stages in the program (Sigma, Phi, Epsilon, and Brother Mentor) allow for growth of community-building skills, academics, and a healthy lifestyle, just to name a few. It also provides outlets to philanthropic, social, and brotherhood events that apply to all active members.

Kansas Eta strictly upholds a zero-tolerance hazing policy and aims to erase the socalled "frat boy" image.

Sigma Phi Epsilon completes the college experience with both a breadth and depth of university involvement activities, and feel free to continue browsing the pages of this site to learn more about our programming and history.
